Simplified and streamlined data integration

SAP Sustainability Data Exchange introduces an enhanced approach to importing master data, designed to simplify and accelerate data integration across connected SAP systems. By leveraging the sustainability data integration service, organizations can efficiently transfer master data from SAP S/4HANA, SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition, and SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, significantly reducing complexity and manual effort. 

The integration enables seamless replication of relevant master data directly from source systems, minimizing the need for manual file-based uploads or custom API integrations where applicable. Data replication is managed via the Manage Replications integration and supports key master data objects, including: 

• Bills of material 
• Business partners 
• Products 
• Product information records 

To ensure a successful replication process, master data should be replicated in the following order: 

• Products – must be created or replicated first 
• Business partners – must exist before product information records can be replicated 
• Product information records – replicated last, once all prerequisites are in place 

To use the sustainability data integration applications within SAP Sustainability Data Exchange, users must be assigned the Portal role collection. In addition, specific roles required for these applications must be assigned individually, as they are not included in the default role collections.
