In order to implement its funding strategy, Raiffeisen-Leasing returned to global securitization markets with the ROOF 2024 deal, its third ABS offering. To meet investor transparency requirements and comply with European Securitization Regulation, Raiffeisen-Leasing partnered with BearingPoint for data management and stakeholder reporting. This collaboration resulted in increased efficiency, quality control, and regulatory adherence.
One of the key focuses for financial institutions is the efficient processing and reporting of data for asset-backed securities. This involves the securitization of financial assets to create new investment products, such as ABS, which can help boost liquidity and manage funding. However, the process of building a portfolio of eligible assets can be complex and technically challenging, requiring careful handling of data from various systems and strict adherence to transparency requirements.
To streamline this process and ensure the success of ABS transactions, Raiffeisen-Leasing, a major player in the Austrian leasing industry, has implemented a diversified funding strategy that includes securitization transactions. The company recently targeted the execution of a new ABS transaction (ROOF 2024), but managing the transaction due to the complexity of source systems, eligibility criteria, reporting requirements, and portfolio selection was challenging. Therefore, the company needed to automate processes, ensure compliance, and maximize efficiency in order to make the transaction feasible and economically sound.
After a successful and ongoing partnership, BearingPoint assisted Raiffeisen-Leasing in launching their third securitization transaction (ROOF 2024). The project began with an analysis conducted by BearingPoint to identify any new needs that had arisen since the previous transaction in 2021. This analysis served as the foundation for creating detailed documentation in cooperation with Raiffeisen-Leasing.
